Lava Martini with lava salt
Ingredients for one drink:
- 50 ml gin
- 20 ml Rosé Vermouth
- 5 drops of lava salt solution with our lava salt
- 2 drops of Angostura bitters
- Additional lava salt to garnish the glass
- 1 Maraschino cherry for garnish
For the saline solution:
- 3 half teaspoons of our lava salt
- 1/3 cup water
Preparation of the saline solution:
- Create a 20% salt solution by dissolving the lava salt in the water. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Pour the solution into a dropper bottle for easier dosing.
Preparation of the Martini:
- Moisten the rim of a well-chilled martini glass and dip it into the lava salt to create a beautiful salt rim.
- Combine all martini ingredients in a mixing glass.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until the drink is well chilled.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Note: Salt is used here to enhance the flavors of the cocktail, not to make it salty.
